Today, Wednesday, July 13th, 2011, has been a pretty good day as days go. I awoke to a great sunrise, had my usual bowl of oatmeal with frozen Blueberries and a big cup of joe.(coffee)

While I dined, I logged on to Facebook and discovered I have more 'friends' than I know what to do with. I noticed there were 35 folks available to me to 'chat' with if I wanted to. But I simply ate, drank and went back to bed. It was 5:00AM.

I am somewhat of a newly-wed so I had other things to do.

We are blessed, if you want to call it that, to have twins we're looking after, a couple of little three-year old tots who love to ask why to everything that comes out of ones mouth. They awake and hit the ground running....literally. Thank Goodness for Geritol lest I could never keep up. Add to this a ten year old boy who has very 'selective' hearing. Together they make me wish I were a 'drinking man'. Just joking.

Some time ago I took out a family membership at a local fitness club, one that has an adequate pool. We try to get our money's worth. Amazingly, it seems to have helped most of my aches and pains, even the three mentioned above. I'm hoping to expand my use of the facilities in the coming weeks and months.

Well, I think I'll sign out for now. It's been over three years since I updated this space. My life has been altered considerably by the death of a much loved wife and the recent marriage to another. I hate eating my oatmeal all alone. (smile) Maybe now I can post upbeat things here that for the last three years I couldn't. I was watching a beloved slip slowly away. We'll see.
